ReACT Training for Mandated Reporters
The ReACT training will provide Georgia-designated mandated reporters with an overview of the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults in Georgia, the different types of state agencies that respond, and how to report abuse. The ReACT training is through the Georgia Department of Human Services Forensic Special Initiatives Unit, GBI Crimes Against Disabled Adults, and Elder (CADE) Task Force. The class is open to the general public. There is no cost for the training. You DO NOT need to register for this class to attend.
Attendees will learn the following:
- The purpose of the FSIY/CADE Task Force.
- Who is considered at-risk
- Types of Abuse, Neglect, and Financial Exploitation
- Mandated reporting
- The purpose of the Public Guardianship Office (PGO)
- Mandated Reporting
- Resources
The ReACT Training with be held virtually using Microsoft Teams.
