What is the State Plan on Aging?

The Georgia State Plan on Aging (SPOA) is a federally required strategic framework developed by the Georgia Department of Human Services’ Division of Aging Services (DAS) every four years as required by our federal regulators. It guides the coordination, delivery, and oversight of aging services funded through the Older Americans Act across all of Georgia’s 159 counties.

Georgia is currently working to develop the 2028-2031 State Plan on Aging.
